Responsive Text Size Based On Face Detection

This is completely experimental in my opinion. It is however a glimpse into the future. Imagine font size on your screen changes as you move towards or away from the screen. This is what Marko Dugonjić is working on.

Using a very cool JavaScript headtracking library — which taps WebRTC and getUserMedia to access your webcam — Dugonjić’s app calculates how close you are to the screen and adjusts the font size to make text more readable.

There is a demo page you can visit. It does uses your webcam to work, so you have to grant it permission to use your webcam. With mobile phones and tablets starting to have front camera, this might become the norm someday.
